On Wednesday 30 March, two Fire Fighters visited our class. They had come to see what we knew about being Firewise. We practised "Get Down, Get Low, Get Out". They asked us questions about our family's Escape Plan. Aleisha was presented with a torch with a dynamo battery,
for the work she had done to make sure she knew what to do if there was a fire. (The torch has a Dynamo winding system. You just lift out the end of the dynamo handle and turn it over so that it faces upwards. Then you just wind the handle several times to generate and store power.)
Congratulations Aleisha. What a great type of torch to have at your house. It will come in handy if there is a power cut, this winter!
